Adzuki
Pre-soak for 24hrs, harvest in 2-5 days using the jar method. Highly nutritious with a distinctive sweet nutty flavour. Can be used raw to add flavour and texture to salads and sandwiches, or blanch in boiling water to add to other vegetables in stews, soups, casseroles and curries. Also delicious added to stir fries.
Alfalfa
A popular sprouting vegetable with a sweet taste and flavour to peas, very nutritious and vitamin rich. It is however best used raw in salads. Soak 8hrs and harvest in aprox. 2-5 days. Can be eaten short or long, if grown long they can be exposed to indirect sunlight for the final day to develp chloroyll.

Beetroot Sprouting
A mild beetroot taste to enhance a mixed salad also adds striking dark red colour to cooking. Pre-soak for 8 hours. Ready to harvest in 6-8 days.
Broccoli Sprouting
Reported to contain relatively high levels of sulforaphane a beneficial anti-cancer compound which helps reduce the risk of developing cancer. Easy to grow and full of nutrition with flavour milder than mature Broccoli. The thick tender shoots can be used for growing on and produce tender flower heads. Fast growing the seeds will be ready to harvest in approx. 6days. Pre-soak for 8 hours. Excellent in sandwiches.
Buckwheat
Energizing and nutritious, buckwheat is available throughout the year. Buckwheat is a fruit seed related to rhubarb and sorrel, making it a suitable substitute for grains for people who are sensitive to wheat or other grains that contain protein glutens. Buckwheat flowers are very fragrant and are attractive to bees that use them to produce a special, strong flavoured, dark honey. Soak for 12 hours, ready in 2-3mdays.
