Kale Blue Curled
Uniform and vigorous blue green kale with a frilly leaf margin, making an attractive babyleaf for salad packs. Leaves have a pleasant cabbage flavour and crunchy texture. As a winter salad this is frost hardy, but also may be used all year round.
Kale Dwarf Green Curled
One of the best of the open pollinated varieties, well flavoured with good cold tolerance; the variety is also suitable as winter fodder and game cover.
Kale Hungry Gap
Called ‘Hungry Gap’ because it filled the period in British cropping when traditionally there was very little fresh produce available. Late cropper with excellent flavour. Suitable for baby leaf. Good frost resistance.
Kale Jagallo Nero
A very vigorous, attractive, jagged leaved Cavolo Nero type Kale with bluey grey leaves. Has a mild cabbage flavour, ideal for winter salads. Can also be used as baby leaf.
Kale Nero di Toscana
These strong plants produce long, thin, dark crinkled leaves for winter picking. Flavour is similar to spring greens.
